The Story Behind Jensen Fragrances
If you've ever purchased a bottle from Jensen Fragrances, you've supported more than a fragrance brand.
You've supported a dream that started with two people looking for a different kind of life.
For years, we lived the fast-paced corporate lifestyle. Like many families, our days were filled with meetings, schedules, deadlines, and the constant pressure to keep moving. While there was fulfillment in our careers, there was also a growing desire for something more meaningful—more time together, more creativity, and more connection to the things that truly mattered.
That desire eventually led us to leave Florida and begin a new chapter in the mountains of western North Carolina.
Today, our family lives on 33 acres surrounded by forests, mountain views, and the slower rhythm of life that first drew us here. It was in this setting that Jensen Fragrances was born.
What began as Brandon's fascination with fragrance quickly became an obsession with craftsmanship. Late nights turned into countless hours of research, experimentation, testing, and refining. Each formula became a creative challenge—an opportunity to capture a memory, a place, or a feeling and transform it into something wearable.
From the beginning, we knew we didn't want to create fragrances simply because they were popular.
We wanted every fragrance to have a story.
Mango Blush was inspired by a date night in the North Carolina mountains and an unforgettable mango sorbet served with pink peppercorn.
Muskalero was inspired by the spirit of the American Southwest, capturing the warmth of sun-soaked desert landscapes, worn leather, and drifting smoke.
Other fragrances have been inspired by travel, memories, family, and the moments that leave a lasting impression long after they've passed.
Every fragrance starts with an idea, but bringing it to life requires patience. Some formulas go through dozens of revisions before they're ready. Ingredients are adjusted, balances are refined, and every detail is evaluated until the fragrance feels complete.
Today, every bottle is still crafted in small batches right here in North Carolina.
We're not backed by a large corporation. We don't have a team of executives deciding what comes next. It's still the two of us, building this company one fragrance at a time while raising our family and pursuing a dream we believed was worth taking a chance on.
Along the way, we've been honored to receive industry recognition, including the Golden Pineapple Award for Muskalero and nominations for Mango Blush. But the awards aren't what motivate us.
The most meaningful moments come from hearing your stories.
The customer who found a fragrance that reminded them of a favorite place.
The person who discovered a new signature scent.
The message that says, "I've never smelled anything quite like this."
Those moments remind us why we started.
Jensen Fragrances was never about creating as many fragrances as possible.
It was about creating fragrances that mean something.
Thank you for supporting our family-owned business, for believing in independent artistry, and for being part of our journey.
We're excited to see where the story goes next.
